I am visiting first time on your site. I am looking for Iron Man 2. The release date on site is given 7th May but it is already released more than a week before. Please cinepax administration should also post the date of release in pakistan in cinepax theater.

I dont think cinepax will show Iron man 2. this is just another one those things that they have done this year, like with Sherlock Holmes, The Wolfman or The Green Zone. Cinepax is just becoming very unreliable. the build up our hopes and then they dash it by not delivering. me and my friends are really becoming quite pissed with this treatment by them.
And even if they do show it after one month of its original release, it will be too late and almost no one will come to watch it because they would have seen it on camera print. as it is the movie has got bad reviews so it means interest in the film will be over a long time before cinepax will show it.
Come on cinepax, dont shove away your customers

Dear Iron Fan,
Problem is these films are not coming to Pakistan, in start of the season we were given whole list of films
which were suppose to come but due to increase in tax on tickets and other duties on movie import
companies are not bringing Hollywood films any more. there is only bollywood content available in cinemas
across nation only cos Hollywood film will never recover its cost cos of high tax and duties.
So you have to wait till this problem is sorted between govt and distributors or watch it in pirated dvd, we can’t help it at the moment.
Can we please stop calling it “Bollywood” kthxbai

I seriously do not believe that almost every indian movie being released is shown in cinepax and the long awaited movies like iron man 2 are still not shown.
And Mohsin my brother no offense but the hollywood movie distributor are not according to individual countries they are according to demorgraphical regions.Pakitan lies in south east asia region and the distribution agency for hollywood movie is the same for that particular region.other countries in our region are india,japan,china and thailand.
Iron man 2 was released on 7 may in india and on 11 may in china and japan.
It is lack of the purchasing power of cinepzx mangement that we havent been able to see Ironman2 in cinemas yet.
It is rather very dissappointing compared to the ratio of indian movie releases.
I just hope we get to see the movie soon in cinepax.

i understand your pain but you got to understand few basics here, we are a cinema house “exhibition center” not a “distribution company”.
so we play movies which are available in Pakistan market, You tried doing your research on distribution demographics but let me add to your knowledge that
each region has sub offices in there relevant countries, where they decide when the movie will release and revenue projections too. now in Pakistan there are hardly only 5 to 6 Cinemas which are available for these hollywood movies across the country, so at the moment in indian movie rush they are unable to meet there revenue projections, on the top Govt of Punjab has implemented 65% tax on movie tickets which kills the concept of importing any hollywood film.
in Pakistan “Boxoffice Pvt Ltd” represents Universal/Paramount Studios and they are trying their best to bring these films in Pakistan, so people can enjoy these block busters during holiday season.
so then,actually when is the possibility for this movie to come???

its been more than 3 weeks since the movies is released and there is no schedule whatsoever about being played in cinepax.
..
if it gets a lil more delayed i’ll prefer downloading a DVDrip and watching it on a projector.
Mohsin thks for your detailed reply on my post.i understand about the 65 percent tax on foreign films imposed by the government even the 5 percent royalties problem as well.
but i have heard that saad baig the distribution manager of box office limited is encouraging cinemas to buy the prints for iron man 2 and that he sent memos based on his statistics that iron man 2 will make around 5 to 7 million ruppees average on ticket sales only meaning that the pubilicity and sponsorship revenue would b seperate factor.so that means on average one cinema will make around 1.25 million ruppees from iron man 2 during its runtime.
i dont know if my facts r totally legitimate or not.but if they are i dont see a reason why cinepax are hesistant to buy the copy of this movie cuz of low revenue projection.peace.
